Actress/Activist/Philanthropist

Pamela Anderson is Vancouver Island’s beloved celebrity resident who has recently moved back to her childhood home in Ladysmith. She is a model, a television and movie actress, producer, and director with a star on the Canadian Walk of Fame.  A lover of arts and literature, Pamela has released three autobiographies, two novels, and two works of nonfiction. Her desire to help protect vulnerable humans and animals led her into activism and philanthropy. After being involved in countless campaigns and victories for animals, she is an honorary director of PETA. She sits on the board for the Sea Sheperd Conservation Society, and is a spokesperson for the MAC Cosmetic’s MAC AIDS fund. The Pamela Anderson Foundation, whose mission is to “stand on the front lines in the protection of human, animal and environmental rights,” has won several awards over its three decade existence. Pamela has a deep respect for the First Nations people who have lived on this land for thousands of years, and is honoured to sit on this board in the spirit of reconciliation and reciprocity.
