Vice President Indigenous at the University of Victoria

Dr. Robina Thomas is a member of Lyackson First Nation, with Snuneymuxw and Sto:lo roots through her grandparents. She is the Vice President Indigenous at the University of Victoria where she holds the position of Professor in the School of Social Work. Her research interests include storytelling, residential schools, Indigenous women and children, Indigenous ways of knowing and being and anti-racism. Dr. Thomas holds a PhD in Indigenous Governance from the University of Victoria, and has many published academic journals articles including her book Protecting the Sacred Cycle: Indigenous Women and Leadership.
