Valentine’s card, original art, to support KLF

nan ch’ uw’ nu stl ’i’ siem | You are important to me

tl’i’stamu tsun | I hold you dearly

Nu stl’i’ ch | I love you

The season of love poems and flowers is upon us. In the spirit of love, Kw’umut Lelum Foundation is sharing how to say “I love you” in Hul'q'umi'num'. Indigenous language revitalization is one of our focuses and we hope spreading some love will help raise awareness of our charitable foundation and Hul'q'umi'num', the sacred language shared by the nine founding Nations of Kwumut Lelum.

We created a Valentine’s Day card featuring the original artwork of local youth, Benson Nelson, of Snaw-Naw-As and Nuxalk Nation. The e-card version is available with any donation online or you can pick them up in person at the following supportive retailers:

nu stl’i’ ch | I love you. “Mother Earth’s Heart” original artwork by Benson Nelson.

Share the love and raise awareness of the Hul'q'umi'num’ language on your next Zoom, Webex or Teams call with the Kw’umut Lelum Foundation background below.
